Pringle's 190th Birthday

As British designer label Pringle debuts tomorrow in Milan under the supervision of designer Clare Waight Keller. The event is doubly important as it is supposed to mark Pringle's 190th birthday. "It's always nerve racking," says the 34-year-old mother of twin girls, who learnt her trade at Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Gucci. "But it's very thrilling too. It's wonderful to see people appreciating all the hard work we've been doing." The presentation tomorrow, will feature gossamer-light knits, intricate beading and one incredible show piece made of a five metre length of knit wound intricately around the body. "It's very exciting to take on this emerging brand and establish it into a full collection," says Keller. "The combination of Pringle's heritage with a new modern attitude and a really luxurious aesthetic is a fantastic challenge." Wishing her luck!
