Sticking with Fendi

According to British Vogue, Karl Lagerfeld confirmed this week that he has signed a new "long-term" contract with Fendi, having already been there for half of the house's 80-year history. "He is a key player in Fendi's success," said LVMH boss Bernard Arnault. "Four or five years down the road, Fendi will be a top Italian brand."

He may be one of the most famous and respected figures in fashion, but Karl Lagerfeld balks at the suggestion that he is an institution. "The moment you stop and think about your past, the magic starts to fade," he says. "Change is the healthiest way to survive."

What we know is that Fendi is already such a success with the fashion world, we can only expect the best from Lagerfeld's choice to stick with Fendi.
